Statement: IUPAT congratulates Biden-Harris announcement of 2024 candidacy

Today, President Biden and Vice President Harris announced their campaign for a second term. On the heels of that announcement, the President joined thousands of delegates at North America’s Building Trades Legislative Conference.

“Showing, once again, that workers and the labor movement are at the top of his priority list, President Biden spent the hours after his re-election campaign announcement with building trades members from around the country. Joe Biden is the real deal,” said IUPAT President Jimmy Williams Jr.

“The world has changed a lot in the four years since he first announced his run for the 2020 nomination, but one thing that hasn’t changed is Joe Biden’s commitment to doing all he can to better the lives of working people. We are pleased that the Biden-Harris team has announced their campaign for a second term and look forward to engaging with the campaign in the coming months.”
